Imitation Sincerest Form of Discipleship

No book, course, or podcast could ever come close to the power of a Christ-like model of discipleship.

Men do way too much “personal growth work” in isolation.

Jesus spent 3 years in deep relationship with 12 disciples.

Paul said, “our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers”. 1 Thessalonians 1:5-7

Paul lived among the men he was discipling, and gave them someone to imitate, even as he was imitating the Lord.

The Thessalonians, in turn, learned to be disciples from Paul, and became an example to others.

My two questions are simply-
1) Do you have a man worthy of imitation deeply embedded in your life, rhythms and relationships?
2) Do you have others walking so closely with you that they can imitate Christ by following your example?

This is cast iron discipleship in a Teflon world.

IMPACT Players Is A Nationwide Mens Movement

There’s a spiritual resurgence rising—a generation of men who refuse to settle for cultural complacency and are choosing instead to follow Jesus with courage, humility, and strength.

The question isn’t if God is moving among men.
He is.
The question is—will we join Him?
