Ravi Zacharias: Everything Covered Up Will Be Revealed

When internationally revered evangelist, author, and Christian defender of the faith Ravi Zacharias died on May 19, 2020 at the age of 74 from cancer, his legacy was universally lauded.  Former Vice President Mike Pence gave a Eulogy and deemed him, a "gentle giant of the faith" and "the C.S. Lewis of our day.”

Less than a year after Zacharias’ passing, an extensive report was released demonstrating credible evidence that Zacharias had been engaged in “sexual misconduct over the course of many years.” Tens of thousands of his supporters, readers, and listeners were shocked to learn that this champion of the faith had been living a double life, boldly speaking about righteousness, while secretly living in wickedness.

Though Jesus followers continue to be surprised by these shocking revelations, they shouldn’t be. Jesus spoke of this in Luke 12:2-3, “The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!”

Zacharias was not the first man of God living a duplicitous life, and he will not be the last.

What about you?

Is there anything covered up that you are afraid will be revealed?

Is there a secret you are afraid will be made known?

Have you whispered something in the dark you don’t want to see the light of day?

Would you be destroyed if your secrets were shouted from the roof tops?

The Swordsman: Wielding the Word — Part 1: Husbands is a new IMPACT Cohort study for men who desire to be great husbands who are skillfully equipped with the Word of God.  We call these men who know how to rightly handle Scripture in their marriage, family, and work lives “Swordsmen.”

The difference between a man with a sword and a swordsman comes down to training and expertise. The Word of God is known as “the sword of the Spirit” and “a double-edged sword,” yet most men have not learned to wield God’s Word like an expert swordsman. In this IMPACT Players Cohort study, men will be trained with the 7 verses that every husband must learn to wield effectively in their marriage.
