Ferociously Faithful

How A Young Man Becomes Successful

“Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”

Luke 16:10

----------

Young man, pay attention to this message- What you are doing now will either be a set up or set back for the life you want to have in the future.  Little decisions have a big impact because they not only influence your circumstances, but they shape your character.

What are you doing right now with your time?  Are you being faithful to grow as a man of God, serve others, study hard, work diligently, and build your skills, abilities, and education?  Or, are you wasting your time, scrolling on social media, playing video games, watching porn, or just half-assing your way through every assignment, job, or opportunity that comes your way?

When you put your best effort into the little things, it multiplies your impact in three critical areas in your life:

1) Confidence: Being faithful in the little things gives you the confidence necessary to believe in yourself when bigger opportunities come your way.

2) Competence: The difference between confidence and foolishness is really competence.  It is one thing to think you can do something, it is another to know you can do it.  Every time you do a little thing well, you are building your capabilities for future success.

3) Character: This is the most important of the three areas because ultimately confidence and competence will get you to the top, but character is what will keep you there.  A man who is willing to do the little things, to humble himself and be a servant leader, is a man who can be trusted and followed by others.

Some guys fritter away their time, talent, and treasures when they are young, then wonder why opportunities never seem to come their way when they actually start to make something meaningful with their lives. Take every responsibility, task, and challenge as an opportunity to make yourself the kind of man who can be faithful with much.

Reflection: (Don’t skip this!)

  • What do I need to know?
  • How do I need to grow?
  • Where does this need to show up in my life?

Take the challenge, step up to the task, and watch God transform your life, your relationships and your legacy over the next 75 days in God’s Word.
